Sometimes we can spend so much time looking for answers that we never hear them. God promises that when we call out to Him, He will answer. That means that if we have sincerely sought his guidance then He will answer. The challenge then becomes discerning which voice is God’s voice. His word is clear on this too: His sheep hear His voice, John 10:27. When we look for signs, we have to remember that some “signs” are only heard. Don’t look so hard that it affects your hearing. Faith comes by hearing not by seeing.
What new things does God seem to be doing in you? Around you? Through you?
How can you look forward instead of looking back? Where else does God want you to look? What would happen if you looked up?
Where do you seem to be walking to? What is your “promised land”? What is your “inheritance”?
What do you “look” forward to? What do you “lean” forward into? What do you “listen” forward to?
To what are you looking for satisfaction? Fulfillment? Are you looking to do God’s Will? What would you like to hear that would satisfy you?
It is imperative to be concerned with obedience and not feeling. It is essential to obey and not compromise. The pathway to blessing is not faith but obedience walked out in faith. Listening and obeying is the key to the spiritual walk with Christ.
In what areas do you need to obey God?
How has a lack of obedience affected God’s promises and blessing in your life?
How has your obedience been blessed by God?
To what is God calling you to obey Him with now?
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Romans 10:17
