Creative Spiritual Insights: Combination

God brings together things and people that don’t seem to mesh in a wonderful harmony union of family called the Church.

God has orchestrated each person as he would see fit within the body. Each one has a purpose and something which they may contribute to the work and Kingdom of God. As we learn about each other and encourage one another, we learn different new and unique combo moves to “knock out” the evil one. It’s the “1-2 jab” or the “body punch, uppercut” combination that can only be accomplished as we work together.

But what if those combos look completely and entirely new and different? That’s where something like UFC comes from. MMA and even WWF has evolved to use humor, story, along with multiple types of fighting skills among people. How much more can we accomplish, if we learn to stop fighting each other and start fighting together? There would be some incredible combos the world has yet to witness.

What would it be like to be working in combo with another person? Are you a good tag-team partner?

What talents and skills can you combine with another person to better accomplish God’s will?

How can you break out of traditional modes of worship, work and service and form a partnership with another to begin something new and unique?

Who do you know whose story, sense of humor, skill set, background, even belief system is completely different than yours?

11And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ: 13till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; 15but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ; 16from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in due measure of each several part, making the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.
