The Way I See It

Today we live in an ADD world. Our heads are always down looking at our phones playing a game, or texting someone, or checking Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Earbuds are always in our ears keeping us from hearing the people around us. Our tools and technology have left us distracted and we no longer pay attention to people.

Philippians 2:4 says “let each of you look not only to his own interest, but also to the interests of others.” But that’s not easy is it? It doesn’t come naturally. By nature I may not care what you’re interested in. I may want the attention on me, but we need to pay attention to the things and people around us.

Are you interested in what your kids are interested in? Do you listen to what your partner has to say? Do you give your attention to your coworkers when they speak…
