This passage is talking about being convicted by the Spirit. It is not talking about being overly sensitive to your own feelings, worrying and wondering about everything you do. But DO be sensitive to the Spirit of God in you and pay careful attention to anything that quenches His fire in your life. When the Spirit motivates you, respond immediately!
The strategy for dealing with such conviction from the Spirit is: “leave” “go” “reconcile” and then “offer”.
Leave. In other words stop right there. Drop what you are doing and make this the priority. Don’t rationalize, pass blame or make excuses. At this point your obedience IS your gift.
Go. This is the action behind the conviction. Often we may be convicted of something but never act on it. We must…
