Lent Questions Day 36

40But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” Luke 23:40-43

As Lent concludes this week, how has salvation been part of your thoughts? Grace? Mercy? Forgiveness?

How does it make you feel knowing that someone perfect died for you? In your place?

How does the criminal on the cross relate with your story of finding Christ?

What words come to your mind as you reflect on the salvation experience of the criminal?

In practicing Lent, how have you become more aware of your own “criminal heart”? How have you become more aware of Christ’s “compassionate heart”?
